Quality Hot stamping foil Hot stamping your lures has never been easier and from now on anyone can do it at home! In order to successfully hot stamp your lures it is important that you use a high quality stamping foil. Our foil is of the best quality so that you can hot stamp your blanks without using a machine. What do you need more for hot stamping: Hot stamping foil, 2 hot stamping mats (sold separately) and a clothing iron. Instructions: Take a clothing iron and put it on the setting that heats up to 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit). Place the clothing iron on the Hot stamping mat. Prepare your blank lure by spraying a non-water based primer or spraypaint on the blank. Read the instructions of the spraycan and wait for X amount of minutes until you can spray the next layer. When the next layer of paint can be sprayed, the paint will be sticky, this is when you want to do your hot stamping. When the paint is sticky this will act as a binder between the foil and lure. Place a piece of foil on both sides of the lure and place it on the Hot stamping mat, that has been heated up to 160 degrees Celsius. Take the other Hot stamping mat and place it on top of the lure and start pressing as hard as you can. Press for a couple of seconds and then move your hands around so you have pressed hard on all parts of the lure. Turn the lure around and press the other side. Heat up the Hot stamping mat again if necessary between changing sides. Let your lure blank cool down for 10 minutes and remove the foil slowly.
